June scent and other love for my babycakes friends!

Well, babycakes... where has the year gone??
It's nearly half done already, can you believe it?
Here in Tennessee we are up to our knees in the 13-year Cicadas (think Biblical plague), heat, humidity, and kids home for the summer!

I asked a few friends on facebook to chime in and vote on their favorite scent idea for June and overwhelmingly the #1 request was for a "Mounds candy bar" or Coconut/Chocolate scent!
So... I have acquired a delicious organic black coconut scented oil which I am using to enhance the natural coconut scent and the cocoa (as always) comes from the cocoa butter!

Now, babycakes.
We need to chat for a sec.
When I created my hair and body butter, its original intent was to be something for the whole family to use.
Me, with my wheat/gluten thing...the littles with their gorgeous brown skin and dark black thirsty hair, my 13 year old daughter for her rough heels and itchy patches of skin, it even works to heal minor skin abrasions!
What it's NOT is a scented body lotion ala Body Sh0p or Bath&Body W0rks. Get the drift?
I personally LOVE a good coconut lime body lotion as much as the next gal, but I don't want my baby boy smelling like the 13 year old at the mall either.

This isn't meant to be a long lasting, this-is-my-scent-today kind of lotion.
It is MILD.
MILDLY scented.
You will love it coming out of the jar, your kids will think you are rubbing them with a melted candy bar, but you will not attract hungry passers by.

While I've got your ear (eyes?)...

Dearest babycakes, you are more than welcome to purchase the same oils and butters from your local health food store, online purveyor, or wherever you can attain such products, melt them together in whatever ratios you like, and make your own hair and body butters. You can make your own lip butter. Surely, if I can make this with 7 kids running around... you can do it too. However, I have many batches of not-awesome body butter at my family's disposal from  my trial runs. It's not cheap.
But please, don't ask for my formula/ratio/ingredients other than the list of what is here on the blog.
Babycakes helps me bring the ends closer together for this larger-than-average family. It helps me with birthdays and anniversaries, and it helps me donate to adoptions and family preservation programs all over the world that are near and dear to my heart. If you want to just make it yourself, that's great and I wish you well... but please don't ask for my help then decide to be my competition.

With much love to my fabulous, well-moisturized, yummy-scented friends out there!
Happy June!
